During my 3-month Co-op rotation with VEGA, I completed various internal signage for upcoming events. Software used included Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
End of Year Sales + Holiday Party Signage
One of the main tasks I had the opportunity to work on during my time with VEGA was creating a variety of custom signage for our end-of-year Holiday and Sales event. The Business Development Teams have fun names for their groups, and I translated those into posters that followed this year’s #1 Football Fan theme. All of the hanging posters you see were designed to fit that fan/football style.
The theme for the holiday party itself is Alice in Wonderland, and I was asked to create directional signage that matched the theme and guided guests to each activity. Alongside these designs, I also created menus for the party based on our VEGA locations across the United States, designing each menu to reflect the look and feel of its corresponding state.
Holiday Office Slides
I was asked to design a series of holiday slides for the building’s monitors. I explored a bright, whimsical direction with several different ideations. The final slide ties into the theme for our end-of-year Holiday Party, which was Alice in Wonderland.
Various Project Work
Below are handouts and signage that I developed. Starting with the Letters from Santa, our reception staff sends these out to children during the holidays, and it was my job to create a festive design for them to write on. Next, you’ll see custom scorecards for an in-house mini golf event that VEGA hosted. Following that, I designed an environmental graphic for our Sustainability team to distribute. Lastly, I had the opportunity to create signage for a Coat Drive that VEGA promoted and collected for Queen City Church.
Family Day and 5K Event Signage
A large event that VEGA hosts, and one that I started working on instantly, was developing A-Frame signage for the Family Day and 5K event to support the Dragonfly Foundation of Cincinnati. These were incredibly rewarding to work on and to see in person at both of these events.
